Mastering & Editing

It is widely acknowledged that professional mastering requires a good room, good monitoring, and good processing. The Coach House audio post-production room at URM Audio provides all three:

• The rooms

  The Coach House, Suffolk - a converted early 19th century coach house, acoustically designed and fitted by Andy Munro of Munro Acoustics

Philosophers Barn, Norfolk - a superb 17th century, 50 foot, oak-beamed barn, with dedicated listening area and lounge. (Nice view of cows).

• The monitoring - a custom Crookwood analogue and digital console, with dCS digital conversion, Chord power amplification, and ATC SCM 50 speakers
• The processing - t.c. electronic Mastering System 6000 with other outboard processors by Cranesong, Digital Domain, Pendulum, Waves, and Weiss

Mobile Recording Unit

Our mobile recording unit offers highest resolution, state of the art, recordings (all PCM rates included; DSD at extra cost) using custom microphones and the purest signal path possible.
